Our first apprentice!

We have recently taken on our first ever apprentice domestic appliance engineer here at Glotech Repairs. Jessica Driver has recently completed her first month with us and we are delighted to have her on board. We thought this would be a good opportunity to take a moment to thank her for all her hard work so far and share some feedback of her experience with the company and the team.

“I’m Jessica, I started in early June as a trainee field engineer here at Glotech. I’m looking forward to learning the new skills and the challenges that are ahead. I’m excited that I was selected to be given this amazing opportunity to learn this role as a white goods field engineer from scratch. It’s an interesting role and no two days are the same.

One month in and I’ve already started to gain skills via my training. For example I have learned how to diagnose a number of issues relating to white goods and have replaced a dishwasher motor with assistance (with a mouse living inside, that was an eye opener!). I can also adjust the built in clock in cookers, replace a washing machine motor and a fan element in a cooker.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to learn further skills in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of white goods from different manufacturers.”
