Hi Dan,
On an AEG ProClean dishwasher, the **i30 error code with three beeps is not usually a drain pump failure itself**. It typically indicates the **anti-flood protection has been activated**, meaning the machine has detected water in the base tray and has automatically switched the drain pump on to try and remove it.
So while it sounds like a pump issue, the pump is usually just doing its job in response to a leak or overflow.
### Common causes include:
* A water leak into the base tray (most common)
* Door seal not sealing properly
* Split or loose internal hose
* Detergent dispenser or sump area leaking during wash
* In some cases, overfilling due to a valve sticking open
### What you can safely check:
* Switch the machine off and isolate the power
* Pull it out slightly (if possible) and check for any visible water underneath or around the base
* Carefully tilt the appliance slightly backward to see if water drains from the base tray (only if safe to do so)
* Check the door seal for debris, damage, or distortion
* Make sure no hoses at the back are loose or dripping
If the base tray has filled with water, the machine will continue to run the drain pump and show i30 until the leak is resolved and the base is dried out.
### Next step
Because this fault is almost always caused by an internal leak, it will likely need an engineer to locate the source and carry out the repair safely.
If you’d like, we can arrange a visit for you.
Kind regards,

Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 8:12 pmMy AEG pro clean is showing error code i30 and beeping three times. It also appears to be running a pump, given the error description, I would suspect it is the drain pump.
Can you offer any advice?
Regards,
